EP5 Inside Hemp-Cannabis Analysis

In this article, we will introduce you to mycotoxins, an important group of substances that must be analyzed in hemp-cannabis. Mycotoxins are naturally occurring toxins produced by fungi that can be toxic to human and animal health. They are often found in food and can be spread by humans, wind, or tools such as Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Clavicep, Alternaria, and Stachybotyrs.

At Kannabiz Tech Lab, we provide Mycotoxin analysis to detect Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2, and Ochratoxin A. It is important to exercise caution in the care of the hemp plant-cannabis, as mycotoxins cannot be seen with the naked eye.

Currently, there are criteria for mycotoxin levels in cannabis-marijuana according to Act 414. You can learn more about these criteria by visiting:

Kannabiz Tech Lab’s machine : LC-MS/MS (Liquid Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry)

This is a description of liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), an analytical chemistry technique used to separate and analyze complex mixtures. The process involves two main components: an ultra-high performance liquid chromatograph (UHPLC) and a mass spectrometer. The UHPLC is used to separate organic compounds in the mixture before they enter the mass spectrometer, which has high separation power and can separate ions with a mass-per-charge (m/z) value to the fourth decimal place. The components in the mixture are ionized using techniques such as electrospray ionization (ESI) or atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI), and then measured by the mass spectrometer. In cases where samples are highly pure, they can be directly injected into the mass spectrometer.
