On June 24, 2022, Kannabiz Tech Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Science and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon to develop and enhance the standards in the medical-grade hemp and marijuana industry. The MOU was signed by Professor Jirasak Tharajak, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Dr. Paisarn Kantang, Deputy Dean for Management and Planning, and Mr. Sahaschai Kidtrong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kannabiz Tech Co., Ltd.
As the government has recently liberalized the hemp and marijuana industry, many farmers and investors are interested in entering this business. However, due to the newness of the industry, it is difficult to set various standards and for farmers to access these standards. This has resulted in significant inequalities in the industry.
Our company, Kannabiz Tech, is dedicated to being a full-service manufacturing company for the hemp and cannabis industry. We have partnered with the Faculty of Science and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, which brings valuable knowledge and expertise to the table, particularly in the area of laboratory knowledge. Our partner university is currently in the process of obtaining ISO 17025 certification, which will further enhance our capabilities.
By combining the skills and knowledge of both organizations, we are able to develop the hemp and cannabis industry while also making it easier for farmers to access cultivation and industry standards.
Currently, our company is in the process of obtaining an extraction license for the extraction process, and we anticipate achieving the GMP-PICs standard certification, the first of its kind in Thailand, by Q3 of 2022. Our company places great emphasis on the laboratory section, and we have invested in the most advanced equipment available to achieve our goal of becoming a full-service manufacturer for the industry.
Mr. Sahatchai Kidtrong expressed his pleasure in collaborating with the university to raise and develop the standards in the medical grade cannabis-hemp industry. He emphasized their commitment to producing high-quality hemp-cannabis products for both medical and health benefits, from the upstream (cannabis-marijuana parts), midstream (cannabis-marijuana extract), to downstream (cannabis-containing products) for consumers.
